Acrostic Means

A composition usually in verse in which sets of letters such as the initial or final letters of the lines taken in order form a word or phrase or a regular sequence of letters of the alphabet. A text usually a poem in which particular letters such as the first letters of each line. As a form of constrained writing an acrostic can be used as a mnemonic device to aid memory retrieval.
